In this task I chose to talk about the city of arts and sciences in Valencia. I find this place fascinating and has a different style of design and architecture, more like a rich construction.
Q1. Why did you choose this place?
I chose this place exactly because I like the view of it from all of the perspectives, I think that this architectural artistic project reflects the quality of the other buildings of the city , because as known, Valencia is a modern beautiful city and a spectacular, imposing space designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava.
Also for me as a new student to architecture, this monument opens my eyes to a new type of Architecture.
Q2. What do you think makes you be at ease?
Science Museum is located in a spectacular building and offers exhibitions where touching is permitted and where visitors can run all sorts of fascinating hands-on experiments.
The Ocean graphic reproduces all the ecosystems on the planet.
Without forgetting the spectacular over shaped design, known by the best places to watch amazing shows such as Opera or stage performances.
Q3. Is there any disruptive element?
The disruptive element can be the noise sometimes , when there are many people there ,or tourists in general , it could be a little bit annoying.
But at night I enjoy it more , it is so quiet, calm and you can really see the big space ,it is overwhelming.
Q4. Do you think you’d feel the same way in another space right now?
There are many beautiful places in this world , and I would feel the same way somewhere else too, if the architecture of it was as good as this one ,or if I felt comfortable in it.
Q5. Do you think that the particular conditions of this space may
influence its occupants? How?
Yes I think so.
Because this place is a public place where everyone enjoy their time and come to visit as a touristic direction, so the occupants definitely influence the space.
A monument needs to be taking care of, cleaned , and protected from dangers like vandalism.
so positive things influence it positively, and negative ones do influence it negatively.
Q6. Would you change anything?
I would like to change a small change which is adding more security guards ,especially at night just to prevent the happening of dangers, robbing maybe or anything bad.
